Creating a vision: What does that mean? It means that down in the deepest part of yourself you remember once having a dream. In that dream, you have “arrived.” You are what you dreamed you could be or wanted to become. In that dream you were the best “you” that ever existed. In that dream you were the best, fighter pilot, the best nurse or doctor, you were the next Bill Gates, you were the next Oprah, you were the next musician whose concert tickets were sold out before even going on sale. You were the next ……… you fill in the blank.
Now if you have lost that dream, you have to ask yourself why. Why did I give up on my dream? Why did I give up on something that kept me going and brought me so much joy when I envisioned myself being that person? Was it because the circumstances changed? Was it because difficulties at home kept you from pursuing that dream? Was it because the support wasn’t there? Was it because I feared others would laugh at my dream? Was it because you think you are not the smartest person when you compare yourself to those around you? Was it because I feared that I would fail so rather than risking failure, I settled for something less?
This blog is about dreams and visions to be explored and ultimately acted upon. The journey will be an interesting one.
